LIST of MISSING CLASSMATES

We are not completely clueless, you know. A "missing" classmate by definition is one we cannot contact, for one reason or another, and who is not on the Deceased List. As of the "Last Update Date" at the bottom of this page, there are now 20 whereabouts-unknown classmates. A list of the information we would like for each classmate, and why, is here. Some of the "missing" may be deceased. New additions to the "Missing" list are also listed on our Newly Lost Classmates List for an indeterminate period, but not for too long.

On 11/11/09 I copied three names from the "Newly Lost Classmates List" to here. The letters to those folks were returned as "Unable to Forward" (UTF). These all were a copy of the "50th Reunion 'Heads-Up' Letter from out Reunion committee."

On 07/05/09 I copied four names from the "Newly Lost Classmates List" to here. The letters to those folks were returned as "Unable to Forward" (UTF). These all were a copy of the "BHS Class of 1960 Status Report, June 2009."

In mid-June 2005 I copied the names for addresses returned as "Undeliverable" (from mailing the first issue of our hardcopy newsletter) to here from the "Newly Lost Classmates List."

At the end of April 2005 I copied the names for addresses returned as "Undeliverable" (from mailing the Reunion Invitations) to here from the "Newly Lost Classmates List."

On 12/16/04 I moved the names for addresses returned as "Undeliverable" (from our summer 2004 mailing about the "Picnic in the Park") to here from the "Newly Lost Classmates List."

Some changes resulted from information from Judy Briggs, Secretary/Treasurer of the Beverly - Florida reunion committee, including all records with a change date of 05/22/03. Thanks, Judy!!

On 08/27/03 I added a new category, the Do Not Contact List, which immediately reduced the "lost" list by six.

NOTES: The date you see on the right side is the day the changed information was posted here. If the date is 03/01/01 then that person was missing from sometime before that date. A newer date means that the address or status of that individual that changed was posted here on that day. Sometimes this is the result of a post card or newsletter being returned as "Undeliverable" or "Unable to Forward" [UTF]. In several cases a person at the address we were using notified us directly that we had the right name but the wrong person and address.

Recent additions are italicized and bolded.

On 02/28/07, the date of our 25th reunion, 10/05/1985, replaced some of the 03/01/01 dates. These designate missing classmates that were missing as far back as October 1985. IOW, these folks are seriously missing.

Don't forget to check our Newly Lost Classmates List for classmates that may or may not be on this list already.

Lost and Found
Search Record Since November 1, 2001):

Lost & Found Records The following section is the incident by incident record of the search for our lost classmates. It is in reverse chronological order, i.e., the newest incident appears first. It is presented just for the record, but you may find it interesting in and of itself. You will notice some classmates disappeared, only to appear later, and visa versa. Sadly, some of our missing turned out to be deceased. Happily, some of those classified as deceased were found to be alive, certainly an embarrassment to the record keeper who apologizes for any consternation caused by errors.

FOUND!      08/09/10 - We now have a mailing address for one of our "lost" classmates, Catherine (McDonald) DiGrazia. An email from a person I do not know showed up last night, ironically just after all this past weekend festivities were over. Cathy went missing after the mass mailing of 06/10/09. She was the only unresolved Unable to Forward (UTF) from that. The latest copy of BHS 1960 Connections will be on the way to her in this morning's mail.

FOUND!      06/24/10 - Thanks to some clues from Grace (Cloyd) Meyer, Linda (Sidell) Cote has been found. Welcome back, Linda!! My information here shows her as "Missing" as far back as October 1985. Linda says she has not heard from anyone since high school, so it has been a lot longer. Her 50th reunion invitation, latest copy of BHS 1960 Connections, ticket reservation form, and Alumni Breakfast ticket order form, will soon be on the way to her.

[To Grace (Cloyd) Meyer: Thanks for the great clues!! I could not have found Linda without you, Grace.]

FOUND!      05/08/10 - Thanks to some clues from Don Aucone, Pat (Felix) Berg's new address is known. Welcome back, Patty!! Her 50th reunion invitation, recent newsletter, ticket reservation form, and Alumni Breakfast information will soon be on the way to her.

FOUND!      02/19/10 - Alan Barbeau, BHS '58, recently phoned Cynthia (Dix) Donahue on our behalf. Cindy emailed me yesterday and said she was very interested in our 50th reunion, and was glad to be "found." Welcome, Cindy!! Alan also located the new address for Judith (Perkins) Fanning, who recently moved from Beverly to Florida. Welcome back, Judy!! A bunch of recent hardcopy reports were on the way to both yesterday, along with a copy of our one and only BHS 1960 Connections newsletter from 2005. Also included was a 50th reunion invitation, ticket order form, and local accomodations list.

FOUND!      02/17/10 - Janet (Grotto) McLaughlin was "found," thanks to some detective work by Alan Barbeau, BHS '58. Welcome Janet! Thanks, Alan! A bunch of recent hardcopy reports will be on the way to her tomorrow, along with a copy of our one and only BHS 1960 Connections newsletter from 2005. Also included will be the 50th reunion invitation, ticket order form, and local accomodations list. Everyone in BHS '60 should have received the last three items by now, with an accompanying newsletter for February, 2010. If not, please notify the Webmaster at the bottom of any page.

LOCATED but NO CONTACT WANTED       02/16/10 - L. David Tower was located by Alan Barbeau, BHS '58. He returned Alan's call and told Alan that he does not wish any contact with BHS Class of 1960 matters. This moves David off the Official Missing List, and adds him to the Do Not Contact page. Thanks to Alan for some first class detective work! (We knew where David was, but could never speak to him to learn that which Alan found out for us - thanks to Bill Shay, '59 for this early work quite awhile back now).

LOST!     02/15/10 - David Scott Webb was copied to here from the "Newly Lost Classmates List." Our official "50th Reunion Announcement" that was mailed out on February 2, 2010, was returned "Unable to Forward" for "Webbie." I have no clues to work with to "find" him, so here he is.

FOUND!      01/31/10 - I contacted Sharon (Walker) Thibedeau through Facebook procedures, and she got back to me recently. She is now officially "found," and removed from the "Missing List," where she has been listed for a long time. Welcome, Sharon!! A special thanks to Andrea (Raymond) Stackpole for looking up the exact USPS address on the internet. Many thanks (yet again) to Andrea. Thanks, Andy!

FOUND!      01/12/10 - Judith (Pierce) Jefferson, found at last, thanks to vital clues provided by Shally (McCarron) Bren. Judy and I had a fantastic telephone conversation today. Way to go, Shally!! Welcome back Judy!!

FOUND!      12/08/09 - Today I verified the address of Linda (McMahon) Lima, who has been on our missing list for some time. Address was given to me by Nancy (Craig) Boucher, who found it on the internet. Way to go, Nancy!! Welcome back, Linda!

LOST!     11/11/09 - I copied three names from the "Newly Lost Classmates List" to here: Grace (Baccari) Barrett 012, William J. Doherty 094, and Judith (Perkins) Fanning 275. The "50th Reunion Heads-Up" letters to those folks were returned as "Unable to Forward" (UTF), mailed out around November 4, 2009."

FOUND!      11/11/09 - Carol J. (Marshall) Regan is now "found" thanks to an email from an Albert Henson, out of the blue today. Carol has been missing for a very long time. Thank you very much, Albert!

FOUND!      11/10/09 - Robert Sicotte was found due to some detective work by a complete stranger, Pat Gilley of Tennessee, who has spent years looking for classmates, and decided to help out just for the fun of it. You can't make this stuff up. I called Bob and enjoyed an interesting conversation. He is back from living in Europe, and is now back in Beverly. Thanks very much Pat!!

FOUND!      11/03/09 - Richard L. (Rick) Bolton was found due to some detective work by our very own Lori (Wait) Dupont, Treasurer. She contacted a close relative of Rick, and got his latest USPS address. Way to go, Lori!!

FOUND!      10/21/09 - Today an email message from Janice (Gaudreau) Harris arrived. Her cousin found her name on our missing lest. Janice has been missing since before our 25th reunion in 1985. She tells me she has been living in Oregon for the past 40 years. "Finding" her has pushed the total missing classmates count below 30 for the first time.

FOUND!      08/26/09 - I noticed Sandra (Hutchinson) Allen on Facebook a few weeks ago. Today I learned her USPS address, making her "officially" found. She was on the "Missing" list since 2005.

FOUND!      08/05/09 - Today Larry Murch told me he found John Christopher. It turns out it was John’s younger brother Art who is, or was, the basketball player in Greece. [I thought it was John]. Larry located Art in Athens, who gave him John's new address. Nice detective work, Larry!! Thanks! Welcome back to the land of the found, John!

FOUND!      07/30/09 - Yesterday I was performing routine searches on Facebook and found Beverly (Wilson) Abramson. Today she verified who she is and gave me the necessary information to move her off our "Missing" list. She was on there at least since 1985, so another seriously missing classmate found!
The search is driving me to drink.
FOUND!      07/29/09 - Today I verified that we now have the correct address for Nancy (Cohen) Newman. A week ago Pat (Toll) Bell gave me her address after doing some detective work. Nancy was on the "Missing" list way back in 1985, so she was seriously missing. Welcome aboard, Nancy!! Many thanks to Pat (Toll) Bell!!

FOUND!      07/15/09 - Today I received a letter from Robert M Daniels, thus he is officially "found." Here again, I'd like to say this was the result of my detective skills, but not so. Bob was on our missing list way back in 1985, before our 25th reunion, so he was seriously missing. He has email, too. Welcome aboard, Bob!!

FOUND!      07/12/09 - Today I received address information from Gail A (Carson) Chelf, thus she is officially "found." I'd like to say this was the result of my detective skills, but Gail simply posted her email address on the Beverly High Alumni website, and as they say, the rest was history. She has been on our missing list since our classmate database was created way back in 2001, when I took it over.

LOST!     07/05/09 - I copied four names from the "Newly Lost Classmates List" to here: Richard L. Bolton 031; Patricia (Felix) Berg 115, Catherine (McDonald) DiGrazia 228, and Linda (McMahon) Lima 231. The letters to those folks were returned as "Unable to Forward" (UTF). Letters were their copy of the "BHS Class of 1960 Status Report, June 2009."

FOUND!      01/10/09 - Today I followed up on a lead from Alan Barbeau, BHS '58, and talked to Judith (Moritz) Calkins on the phone. She is alive and well, and has an email address. Thanks Al, and welcome eBoard Judy!!

FOUND!      12/29/08 - Today I happened to notice that one of our "missing" classmates posted his email address on the Beverly High Alumni website. John L. Chaisson has been address-unknown since before Oct '85. Welcome eBoard, John!

LOCATED but DECEASED       12/10/08 - Niels-Peter Hansen is deceased, not missing. Details are on the "Deceased" page, including a link to a copy of his obituary, which I happened to notice in yesterday's Salem News The date is the date I updated this paragraph, nothing more.

FOUND!      06/09/08 - After a bit of detective work based on her old address found in the 1985 25th Reunion souvenir booklet, and some searching on the internet using Switchboard.com, I sent a USPS inquiry to our missing classmate, Lea Anne (Eldridge) MacNeill. It was a lucky guess, and Lea Anne responded by email. Welcome eBoard, Lea Anne!

FOUND!      03/29/08 - Missing Classmate Grace (Pillman) Hughes checked in by email, out of the blue. Welcome eBoard, Grace!

FOUND!      07/26/07 - Today I called one of our "missing" classmates, Pat (Toll) Bell, and we had a nice conversation. She was "found" alive and well thanks to the efforts of Gail Woodbury, BHS '59. Thanks Gail!!

FOUND!      07/13/06 - We have a confirmed address for Grace (Cloyd) Meyer, thanks to Carol Ann (Noonan) Ferris, who now has located two of our classmates for us. Way to go, Carol (again)! Come on folks, you can find a "lost" classmate, too. We need the help. Please keep your eyes open.
We hope you're not lost at sea.
LOCATED but DECEASED       04/04/06 - Ann (Deering) Lucas is deceased, not missing. Details are on the "Deceased" page. I contacted Ann's brother Chuck Deering, BHS '63, who set me stright on the details. This is the point at which the number of our deceased classmates became greater that the total of missing classmates. The date is the date I updated this paragraph, nothing more.

FOUND!      01/03/06 - Nancy (Abbott) Torell, using great clues from her old friend Joanne (Dodge) McGee. Thanks, Joanne!!

LOCATED but DECEASED       09/03/05 - Sadly, Sandra E. (Barker) Graves is deceased, not missing. Details are on the "Deceased" page. Our own Sean McCarthy gave me a heads up on this, and Bill Shay '59 provided a copy of the obituary. Date is the date I posted this paragraph, nothing more.

Status Change      08/22/05 - Judith (McQueeny) Shultz - No longer on the DO NOT CONTACT list. Perhaps some of her old friends would like to contact her? Contact the Webmaster using any link on this site, tell me what you want, and I'll forward all messages to her for you, and she can get back to you.

FOUND!      08/02/05 - Sylvia (Renzie) Nelson's husband Kirk sent me their address information by email, out of the blue. Thanks guys!

LOCATED but DECEASED       08/02/05 - Larry Thibodeau is deceased, not missing. Details are on the "Deceased" page. Andrea (Raymond) Stackpole learned the sad news from old friends of his. Thanks, Andrea. Bill Shay '59 provided a copy of the obituary. Date is the date I updated this paragraph, nothing more.

RESURRECTED but LOST       07/01/05 - Happily, L. David Tower has been moved from our deceased list, thanks to detective and leg work by William H. Shay '59. And it isn't even Easter. We do not yet have any contact information for Dave, however, so he is now on our "Missing" list. Thanks for all your hard work, Bill!

FOUND!      07/01/05 - We have a confirmed address for Linda (McMahon) Lima. Thanks to Carol Ann (Noonan) Ferris who, "...went out for pizza tonight and ran into Linda." Way to go, Carol! Come on folks, you can find a "lost" classmate, too. Keep your eyes open.

LOST!     06/17/05 - Larry Thibodeau - His invitation came back with a handwritten note that says, "Not Deliverable as Addressed." I left a message on the phone number we had and a person living there said her husband was Lawrence Thibodeau, but not the one from our class. Here is another concrete example of "Right Name / Wrong Person." This means we never had the address for "our" Larry, and the actual recipient finally told us so. If not, we still would not know.

We hope somebody points you out! FOUND!      06/14/05 - We have an as yet unconfirmed address for Thomas O'Keefe. Thanks to Lenny Roberts.
FOUND!      06/09/05 - I was looking for Hugh McCabe's new address, and noticed a Switchboard listing for Hugh McCabe. It was in the same town as before. Figuring how can there be two, I called and left a message. Hugh himself returned the call within a short time. Thanks for getting back to me, Hugh!

FOUND!      06/07/05 - We have an as yet unconfirmed address for Alan B. Morse. Thanks to Kathy Healey.

FOUND!      06/07/05 - We have a confirmed address for Richard Bolton. Thanks to Jeanne (LeClair) Cammett.

FOUND!      05/19/05 - Brooke (Chapman) Hatch contacted me by email to let me know her current address. Thanks, Brooke!

LOST!     04/29/05 - Brooke (Chapman) Hatch - It appears she has simply moved over a year ago, so she is just outside the one year window for USPS address corrections. Her 2005 reunion invitation came back labeled "UAA," whatever that means(?).

LOST!     04/28/05 - Sandra (Hutchinson) Allen - Her invitation came back with a handwritten note that says, "Wrong Address," "Return to Sender," "That is not the Sandra Allen that lives here." The latter has an arrow pointing to the address line. Here is a concrete example of "Right Name / Wrong Person." This means the address we had for Sandra (Hutchinson) Allen was always wrong, and the actual recipient finally told us so. If not, we still would not know.

LOST!     04/26/05 - Hugh McCabe - It appears he has simply moved over a year ago, so he is just outside the one year window for USPS address corrections. His 2005 reunion invitation came back as, "Not deliverable as addressed, unable to forward."

LOCATED but DECEASED       04/17/05 - Sadly, today I learned from Joanne (Dodge) McGee that Pamela Ruth (Fitzgerald) Pound passed away Feb 6, 2005, in Vista, California. This removes her from the "Missing" list below and puts her on the Deceased list. Thanks, Joanne.

FOUND!      11/06/04 - Today Martha (Wildes) Carr informed me that she located Judy Davis, who lives near her. Thanks, Martha!

LOST!     10/06/04 - Lea Anne Eldridge - We had her first name incorrect, as Lucille. The July flyer we sent to "Lucille" returned as undeliverable. We are not sure the address was correct for the prior mailings. Unable to locate (so far).

FOUND!      08/18/04 - Today Charlie Fiory informed me that he managed to locate Michael Smith, after some detective work. Mike is alive and well. Way to go, Charlie!!

Are you hiding in the bushes? FOUND!      08/14/04 - I talked to Martha (Wildes) Carr on the phone today from a lead given to me by Felicia Connolly, wife of Jim Connolly '57. Thanks, Felicia!

LOCATED but DECEASED       08/14/04 - Sadly, today I learned from Alice Toorks' mother that she passed away some time ago. This removes her from the "Missing" list below and puts her on the Deceased list. Thanks, Charlie.

FOUND!      08/11/04 - Carole Bernier's son found her on our "lost" list through a Google search on her name. He contacted me by email to let me know she is alive and well, and gave me her mailing address. This is yet another example of how this Website is bringing our classmates closer together.

LOST!     07/02/04 - Judy Davis - Does anyone know this person? All I had was an email address that someone gave me from that bogus Website classmates.com and I am not sure that was really her. I don't think she is in the yearbook, either.

FOUND!      05/04/04 - Julie (Dunn) Deeley emailed me to let me know she is no longer "lost." She now goes by the name of Julie Deeley. Thanks Julie!

FOUND!      10/06/03 - I had a bit of spare time tonight, and decided to reprocess the clues given to me by Judy Briggs of the Beverly - Florida reunion committee. I was able to locate Saundra (MacKenzie) Webber, and had a nice conversation with her on the telephone. Thanks again, Judy!

This is the first returned post card in that mailing for which I cannot find the new, correct address.

FOUND!      05/21/02 - Today I located Armand J. Boisvert, Jr. through the company he owns in New Hampshire.

We are working like dogs to find you! LOST!      05/20/02 - Today I (finally) noticed we have neither a mailing nor email address for Judith (McQueeny) Shultz. I have been cross-checking records and combing through email messages. I knew she moved but I neglected to flag her as "missing."

FOUND!      05/18/02 - Today I located Harry Hutchinson with the help of his mom who still lives in Beverly. Many thanks to Sandra (Walker) D'Entremont for the tip that enabled me to locate him, and remove him from the "missing" list.

LOST!      05/08/02 - Today while I was tidying up my files, I discovered that we seem to not have the correct address for Neils Peter Hansen. This is a record keeping error I corrected by adding him to the "missing" list.

LOST!      04/17/02 - From Sandra (Toneatti) MacKay, on Ann Deering: "...we were in Rainbow together...she was in a horrible accident where she was expected not to live, so she was very seriously injured...months later as she was coming out of that, a bunch of us from Rainbow went to visit her at her folks' home where we had had so many parties. She was getting around on her own at that time, but [she was still] impaired."

Because of this good news I have removed Ann Deering from the "In Memoriam" list to the "Missing Classmates" list. We do not know where she is, but we now know she did survive that terrible accident. My sincere apologies for having her on the wrong list.

THE INFORMATION WE NEED

Why We Need It

Name:

Address:

City State Zip

Significant Other:

Phone:

Email:

The Reunion Committee needs your address information
We have to write it down. In addition to being Webmaster, I also try to keep our classmate names and addresses current so we can stay in touch. Your information is not posted or published. I don't give out email addresses or mailing addresses to anyone without permission. See our Privacy Policy.

The regular mailing address is where we will send the 50th Reunion Invitation in 2010, and perhaps a hardcopy newsletter or other information before then.

The name of spouse or significant other was going to give us some idea of how to address the invitation. It turned out that we addressed the 45th reunion invitations in 2005 to each classmate alone due to confusion about Significant Others' last names. It was easier to sidestep the issue - the invitation itself said who was invited, "All graduates of the Beverly High School Class of 1960, anyone that was ever in our class at any point along the way, spouses and friends, friends of our class, faculty, etc." Better that way, don't you think? I guess this makes the "Spouse or S/O" field in our database optional, but nice to have.

I use the phone number most often to find out the new email address when the old one "goes bad" and I don't know the new one, i.e., someone forgets to let me know. Without an email address you are really out of the loop. I also make calls from time to time to pertinent classmates in the pursuit of "missing" classmates, and sadly sometimes to verify details on one of our deceased.

If someone wants to reach you they send me a message and I forward it to you. This lets you contact them or not, as you like. If you do want to contact someone, send me the message and I will forward it to them. If the person in question is not on any of these lists, Missing, Deceased, or Do Not Contact, then we can reach them.
